Ok, so it’s not exactly sweater weather. I was itching to make something – anything – and wanted to use my newly acquired knitting skills before I forget how to do it. This started out as a small garter stitch square, mostly to try out my new knitting needles on some leftover bulky wool yarn. It knitted up very quickly. I thought it would be cute for my dog, so I crocheted on an edging and 2 straps to turn it into a dog coat / sweater.

I started crocheting during Hurricane Irene in 2011. I instantly fell in love with it. My day job is a web developer. I live in Philadelphia with my boyfriend, his kids and a menagerie of pets. We have 2 dogs, Isabella the maltese and Lucky the havanese, my kitty Mitsi and Sunny the turtle. I started the website as a way to share what I'm crocheting, and what I'm learning.
