Finished Object Friday: Amigurumi Alien and Sweetheart Cupcakes

I’m so excited to finally post pics of this Zork the Alien from Crocheted Softies. It was such a fast crochet that it didn’t make it into last week’s WIP Wednesday post. I started her last Thursday night, and was finished by Saturday. I made her to cheer up my desk at work, but actually haven’t wanted to bring her in. She just looks so cute sitting next to the TV at home.

My workplace is hosting a company wide bake-off today. I wanted to find a recipe that would be doable on a Thursday night without killing myself, but definitely inline with the Valentine’s day theme. These sweetheart cupcakes from Glorious Treats fit the bill perfectly! Her treats look totally amazing and attainable all at once, with beautiful pictures.
