So I’m at the doctor’s office the other day and I’m sitting on the exam table waiting to be seen. I was fully dressed and happily waiting while I practiced the Tunisian stitch that I had just learned. The thought occurred to me “if I was waiting here on this table with a paper gown on, would I have been sitting there crocheting and the answer was “yes, yes I would”. I started to reflect back and think of all the things that I have been doing ever the past couple weeks and I realized I like yarn…too much. These were a few of my realizations:
Yesterday I watched that movie with my son and called a bonding time but I think it really was so I could sit and crochet for two hours.
There was a crusty spaghetti noodle on your floor in my kitchen and I realized I had spaghetti last week. Or was it the week before?
I found myself doing the sniff test on a pair of jeans I wanted to wear for the third time that week…when in the heck was the last time I washed clothes? I’m not sure, but I think my son wore the same outfit 3 days in a row…and no sniff test…
OK, yes, we did have Macaroni & Cheese a few nights last week, but I assure you, it had nothing to do with the sale at Michael’s.
Yes, it’s possible I may have missed my dentist appointment last week due to a small time warp I entered while trying to come up with things to make with a crocheted rectangle.
So as I sit here, this week, at my rescheduled dentist appointment, still working on my Tunisian stitch, I ask myself “would I crochet while they drill tartar off my teeth?” The answer still remains the same “yes, yes I would”.
